On July 13, 1985, at 6.41pm, at Wembley Stadium in London, Queen took to the stage as part of Live Aid, the event Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure organised to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster.

The band performed a medley of some of their greatest hits including 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Radio Ga Ga', 'Hammer To Fall', 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', 'We Will Rock You’ and 'We Are The Champions’ - their 21-minute set was witnessed by 72,000 people in the stadium and 1.9 billion across the World and is hailed as one of the greatest live performances ever in the history of rock n’ roll.

As part of the 40th anniversary of the Live Aid concert, you can re-live Queen’s historic showpiece for 24 hours on the Queen YouTube Channel, on Sunday, July 13th 2025, from 6.41pm (BST).
